What to Expect

Weather

Cruising in the Caribbean Sea is possible all year round, as the weather is warm, with temperatures ranging from +25 to +30°C, and the waters never freeze. However, some cruise lines only operate seasonal trips, specifically during the European winter season, as the summer season (from June to November) in the Caribbean Sea brings hurricane season with significant rainfall and strong winds, which may result in changes to cruise itineraries.

Attire

Depending on the season, you won’t need to make major changes to your suitcase contents. The air temperature remains consistently high during both the winter and summer seasons, so choose lightweight, comfortable, and summery clothing. If you’re travelling in the summer, consider bringing a raincoat and a slightly warmer jacket for rainy evenings. Don’t forget your beachwear, swimsuit, and towel! Before departure, familiarize yourself with the cruise line’s dress code, which can vary from formal to casual, depending on the cruise company.

Payments

You can make payments on all ships with credit cards and US dollars, while on the island docks, payments are accepted in US dollars and euros, depending on the island’s affiliation.

Allow yourself to step into a postcard-perfect paradise – enjoy the fabulous vacations that a Caribbean Sea cruise will provide you!
